What is the minimum length of stay in a Toue Cabanée?

To fully experience a night on the water, we require a 2-night minimum stay. This allows you to truly sync up with the rhythm of the lake and fully enjoy this unique glamping accommodation.

How many people can sleep in a Toue Cabanée?

Our Toues Cabanées can accommodate up to 5 people in total. It is the perfect choice for an unusual getaway with family or friends on Lake Serre-Ponçon.

Are the cabins suitable and accessible for children?

Yes, absolutely! The Toues Cabanées are perfectly suitable for (young) children. To make your family trip easier, we can provide a baby cot and/or a high chair free of charge upon prior request.

What are the check-in and check-out times?
  • Check-in: You can arrive between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
  • Check-out: The cabin must be vacated by 11:00 AM at the latest on your departure day.

Access, Transportation & Parking

How do we reach the Toue Cabanée from the shore?

Access to your accommodation is exclusively by water. On the day of your arrival and departure, our team will accompany you by boat to assist with boarding and luggage transport.

How do we move around during our stay?

For the entire duration of your stay, your own private rowboat is moored to your cabin. You are fully autonomous to travel between your unusual accommodation and the shore whenever you like.

Is there a parking lot for my car?

Yes, a free, reserved parking lot for our guests is located just above the boarding area. Trolleys are available to easily transport your luggage down to the dock.

Onboard Comfort, Electricity & Amenities

Is there electricity, Wi-Fi, and a TV onboard?

As part of our eco-friendly approach, our Toues Cabanées operate sustainably using solar panels.

  • Electricity: There is no standard 220V grid power. The available solar energy requires you to use it mindfully (charging phones, lighting), which is very easy to manage daily!
  • Digital Detox: For a complete immersion in nature, there is no TV and no Wi-Fi network onboard.
Are bed linens and towels provided?

Yes, bed linens and towels are fully included in your rental price. Your beds will be freshly made for your arrival so you can immediately start enjoying your holiday.

Does the floating cabin move or rock a lot?

The cabin is securely anchored at a fixed point. It is extremely stable on the water and rotates very gently with the wind, offering a constantly changing panorama and a light, soothing rocking motion that guests love for sleeping.

Dining: Kitchen & Food Baskets

Is breakfast included in the stay?

Yes, breakfast is included. It is discreetly delivered every morning in a basket directly to your deck, so you can wake up right on the lake.

Can we cook onboard the floating cabin?

Yes, each accommodation features a fully equipped kitchenette with a 2-burner gas stove, a refrigerator, and tableware. For outdoor meals, a griddle/plancha is also at your disposal on the terrace.

⚠️ Safety Note: Traditional barbecues (charcoal or open flames) are strictly prohibited for obvious safety reasons on a wooden floating structure.

Is there a restaurant near the bay?

Yes, dining options are available close by. Right in the bay, you will find the restaurant La Paillote du Lac, perfect for a meal right by the water.

Activities, Security & Pets

Can we swim directly from the Toue Cabanée?

Yes! This is one of the absolute highlights of the experience. You can jump straight from the roof of the cabin, swim from the terrace ladder, or head to the nearby beach. Swimming is under your own responsibility.

Is fishing allowed from the deck?

Yes, you can fish right from your floating deck. It is an exceptional spot to enjoy the morning calm, provided you hold a valid fishing permit.

Are dogs and pets allowed onboard?

Yes, our animal friends are welcome onboard. This service is available for an extra fee of €10 per pet, per day. Just ensure they are comfortable on the water.

How is safety managed in case of bad weather?

The safety of our guests is our top priority. We monitor the weather of Lake Serre-Ponçon in real time. In the event of storms, heavy rain, or strong winds, we will safely bring you back to the shore. Additionally, life jackets (adult and child sizes) are provided inside each cabin and rowboat.

How is wastewater managed?

To preserve our environment, our cabins are eco-friendly. They feature holding tanks for wastewater that are regularly emptied on land. No waste is discharged into the lake, keeping the water perfectly pure.
