What is the minimum stay requirement for a Floating Cabin?

To fully enjoy the experience of staying on the water, a minimum stay of 2 nights is required. This allows you to embrace the rhythm of the lake and make the most of this unique accommodation.

How many guests can stay in a Floating Cabin?

Our Floating Cabins can accommodate up to 5 guests. They are the perfect choice for a unique getaway with family or friends on Lake Serre-Ponçon.

Are the accommodations suitable and accessible for children?

Absolutely. Our Floating Cabins are suitable for children, including younger guests. To make your family stay easier, we provide a baby cot and/or high chair free of charge upon prior request.

What are the check-in and check-out times?
  • Check-in: Between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
  • Check-out: The cabin must be vacated by 11:00 AM at the latest on the day of departure.

Access, Transportation & Parking

How do you access the Floating Cabin from the shore?

Your accommodation is accessible exclusively by water. On arrival and departure days, our team will escort you by boat and assist with transporting your luggage.

How do guests get around during their stay?

Throughout your stay, a private rowboat is moored alongside your Floating Cabin. This allows you to travel independently between your accommodation and the shore whenever you wish.

Is there a parking area for my car?

Yes, a free private parking area is available exclusively for our guests just above the boarding area. Trolleys are provided to help you transport your luggage to the pontoon.

Onboard Comfort, Electricity & Facilities

Is there electricity, Wi-Fi and a TV on board?

As part of our eco-friendly approach, our Floating Cabins operate autonomously using solar energy.

  • Electricity: Solar power is available for lighting and charging devices, provided consumption remains reasonable.
  • Digital Detox: To encourage a full immersion in nature, there is no television and no Wi-Fi on board.
Are bed linen and towels included?

Yes, bed linen and towels are included in the rental price. Your beds are prepared before arrival so you can immediately start enjoying your stay.

Does the Floating Cabin move a lot?

The cabin is securely anchored and extremely stable. It gently rotates with the wind, offering constantly changing views and a soothing, gentle rocking motion appreciated by our guests.

Dining: Kitchen Facilities & Meal Baskets

Is breakfast included in the stay?

Yes, breakfast is included. Each morning, it is discreetly delivered directly to the terrace of your Floating Cabin in a basket, allowing you to enjoy breakfast overlooking the lake.

Can guests cook on board?

Yes, each accommodation features a kitchenette equipped with a two-burner gas hob, refrigerator and tableware. You will also find a gas griddle on the terrace for outdoor cooking.

⚠️ Safety: Traditional barbecues (charcoal or open fire) are strictly prohibited for safety reasons on a wooden structure.

Is there a restaurant near the bay?

Yes. Within the bay, you will find La Paillote du Lac, a lakeside restaurant ideal for enjoying a meal by the water.

Activities, Safety & Pets

Can I swim directly from the Floating Cabin?

Absolutely! One of the highlights of the experience is being able to jump directly from the roof of the cabin, swim from the terrace, or reach the nearby beach. Swimming is entirely at your own risk.

Can I fish from the terrace?

Yes, fishing directly from your Floating Cabin is allowed. It is a wonderful spot to enjoy the calm of the morning, provided you hold a valid fishing licence.

Are dogs and pets allowed?

Yes, pets are welcome on board. This service is available for an additional charge of €10 per pet, per day. Please ensure your pet is comfortable around water.

How is safety ensured in bad weather?

Your safety is our top priority. We monitor weather conditions on Lake Serre-Ponçon in real time. In the event of storms, thunderstorms or strong winds, we will ensure your safe transfer back to shore. In addition, life jackets for both adults and children are provided on every Floating Cabin and rowboat.

How is wastewater managed?

To protect the environment, our Floating Cabins are equipped with wastewater holding tanks that are emptied regularly on shore. No wastewater is discharged into the lake, helping preserve the purity of its waters.
